MEETING MINUTES

 

November 16, 2007

               

On November 7, 2007 the meeting held at Gary Tryhorn’s residence was called to order by President Neaterous at 1:20 pm. Gary, thanks for the Pizza & Drinks.

 

Present were: Region 1 Davignon, Kranz            Region 2                 Region 3 Neaterous, Wagner, Scherer                                   

Region 4 Tryhorn, Perkins             Region 5 Lanctot                 

 

Minutes of the September 19, 2007 meeting were approved.

 

Treasurer’s report, submitted after the meeting, shows a balance of $4,658.26 as of November 9, 2007.

            

Tournament Critiques – 2007 season had more tournaments cancelled and teams playing as exhibition than any previous year.

 

Rankings – Read letters from members not happy having to play teams 10 – 15 years difference in age and their team ranking which put them into that position.

 

Web Site – Will exceed 100,000 hits this year.

 

General Meeting – will be held in the Manteca Council Chambers on Saturday, December 1, at 10:00 am. An email will be sent to managers of record that will include the agenda Discussed ideas submitted by members as possible rule changes for 2008. They included eliminating the run thru, changing the 5 team bracket, eliminate the marking from the batters box, allowing players to be on 2 rosters, allowing tournament directors to make adjustments to bring parity to a bracket and changing to SSWC from ASA as the default rule book.

 

2008 Tournament Schedule – reviewed new requests received from Tournament Directors and changes that have been made. It will be ready for distribution in January.

 

New Business – Essy Hoapili, who was suspended 7/03, applied for re-instatement. It was approved and he can begin playing immediately.

      

Next meeting is at 8:30am on Saturday, December 1 in Manteca.
